Oak CottageNorth York Moors, Yorkshire

Formerly a working livestock barn, Oak Cottage is now a beautifully appointed self-catering cottage being part of a larger barn conversion at Thirley Cotes farm on the edge of the North York Moors.

The property is situated near the village of Harwood Dale only a short distance from the Yorkshire Coast between Whitby and Scarborough. The setting is very tranquil and ideal for also exploring the many beautiful villages of the North York Moors, you can easily walk and cycle straight from our door into the fabulous nearby forests and Yorkshire countryside.

Oak Cottage provides luxurious self catering accommodation for four people plus an infant and can accommodate six people using the sofa bed in the lounge area.

With an upside-down setup, you’ll find all of the bedrooms on the ground floor of the property with the spacious and airy living space above. Open plan lounge, kitchen and diner provide a comfortable base for your group during your break. Beautiful wooden floors are laid throughout the property and Air Source underfloor heating ensures your comfort during the chillier times. Guests at Oak Cottage also get access to the fantastic shared amenities at Thirley Cotes Farm. These include a hot tub and lawned area, children’s play area, indoor games room and more. Bike storage is ideal for keen cyclists and you can explore the four-acre woodland throughout your stay too.

Cottage Escapes has it’s office based at the farm so our friendly staff are always on hand to welcome you and provide help or guidance during your stay.
